PROMOTING ART AND CULTURE

  • Three main festivals of SGBS Trust are Gokulashtami, Sharadotsav and Thyagaraja & Purandharadasa Aradhana.  

  • Monthly music concerts on the first sunday of every month to promote budding talent.

  • Cultural programmes for over 50 days in a year, free for public.

SPIRITUAL PROGRAMMES AND NAMA-SANKEERTHANAM

  • Spiritual discourses and devotional programmes are part of the festivals.

  • Festivals include Ashtapadi Bhajans, Divya Namam, Radha Kalyanam and Nrithya Sankeerthanam.  

  • Weekly (Saturday) Bhajans conducted in different locations on request .

SOCIAL COMMITMENT

The Trust provides help, relief and empowerment to the under privileged, with no discrimination based on age, sex, caste, creed or religion. Current activities include:

  • Financial assistance for the education of about 325 deserving students every year through programme " Shiksha" (education), where the fees are directly paid to the schools.

  • Free employment and marriage bureau 

  • Establishment and running of a centre, " Sanathana Dharmasamstha", to conduct the last rites/annual shraadham of the departed (For assistance, Contact 25567990) 

  • Free facilitation for funerals 

UNNATI

"Unnati",launched in October 2003 is a Vocational Training Centre for the Underprivileged.
